One Bench Salayea Production Center
On May 31st, One Bench at a Time proudly held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Carpentry Training and School Furniture Production Center in Salaye Town, Lofa County.
The event was officiated by the county’s superintendent, Hon. Laval Missisquoi, and marked a significant milestone in advancing local education infrastructure and youth empowerment.
With an estimated construction cost of $30,000, the center will serve a dual purpose upon completion:
Production Hub: Locally manufacturing school chairs, desks, and other essential educational materials to support learning environments across the region.
Training Facility: Providing hands-on carpentry training to underprivileged youth, equipping them with marketable skills to foster self-reliance and long-term economic sustainability.
This initiative reflects One Bench at a Time’s commitment to community development through practical education, workforce readiness, and locally driven solutions.
